Sudbury Board of Health reelects Bradford chair, installs new medical director
SUDBURY — May 13, 2026 — Sudbury Board of Health reelects Bradford chair, names new medical director and flags unpermitted septic work. The board voted 3-0 to keep Carol Bradford as chair, with member Susan Sama citing her daytime availability, and 3-0 to install Dr. Ashley Ferullo of Giving Tree Pediatrics as consulting medical director. Septic inspector Mike reported that contractors at 694 Boston Post Road, the future Bright Path daycare site, removed a grease trap and a 5,000-gallon tank with no permit and an installer not licensed in town; double fees will be assessed and a permit application was finally submitted Monday. The town has recorded four suspect Lyme cases and one suspect anaplasmosis case in the past month, and Health Director Vivian rejected resident requests to spray trails: "I think our Conservation Commission would be very upset if we just did that, and it wouldn't be effective because these things, they're endemic." Sudbury Farms is targeting a mid-June reopening, with Roche Bros. executives presenting June 10.
