Historical Commission recommends Wallace step to alternate, Jost as full member
SUDBURY — June 16, 2026 — Sudbury Historical Commission elevates Wallace, recruits Jost in membership shuffle. The commission voted unanimously Tuesday to recommend Michael Wallace step down from full member to alternate, citing reduced availability after his late-2024 job change, and to recommend retired Raytheon/RTX program manager Alan Jost — a 20-year Air Force veteran and 33-year Sudbury resident — for the resulting full-member seat. Chair Christopher Hagger was re-elected for another one-year term; member Christopher Durall was elected vice chair. The commission also approved an FY27 budget of $11,120, a 27 percent year-over-year increase driven largely by a $7,918 Hosmer House cleaning contract, authorized up to $200 for July 4 open-house refreshments, and tabled disposal of duplicate and damaged Hosmer House materials pending town counsel's review of a possible "in perpetuity" restriction in Florence Hosmer's 1959 deed.
