Zoning board accepts yoga-studio withdrawal, approves chickens and Mossman Road rebuild
SUDBURY — March 2, 2026 — Sudbury ZBA accepts yoga-studio withdrawal, signals bylaw fix for small fitness uses. The Zoning Board of Appeals voted 4-0 on March 2 to accept the withdrawal without prejudice of a use-variance application by Wilder Companies for a 1,700-square-foot yoga studio at 505-525 Boston Post Road after Chair John Riordan said the proposed use should be allowed as-of-right under prior practice. Attorney Joshua Fox produced certificates of occupancy from 2011, 2014 and 2016 for similar studios in Sudbury's limited business districts. Building Inspector Andrew Lewis, who had classified the use as "commercial recreation, indoor" under Section 7000, said he had "no problem" stepping back. The board also approved a five-year chicken-keeping renewal for Amy Hansen at 114 Morse Road and a Kane-Bilt teardown-and-rebuild at 252 Mossman Road, all 4-0.
