Weston Select Board sets fall town meeting for November 23, fills Traffic Committee seat

WESTON — May 26, 2026 — Weston Select Board appointed Katherine Diver to the Traffic and Sidewalk Committee and set November 23 as the date for a fall Special Town Meeting at its May 26 meeting. Board Clerk John F. McDonald, serving as chair, led members through assignments on 26 projects and priorities for the coming year, distributing oversight of the fire station rebuild, water tank replacement, roadside camera implementation, and other capital initiatives among the five-member board. The board voted 5-0 to formally request that the School Building Committee add McDonald as a second Select Board representative alongside Lise N. Revers, who already serves on that body. Rebecca J. Mercuri was designated as the board's new representative on the Unified Planning Committee, and Revers joined the Housing Production Planning Committee, which must submit its plan to the state by August 14. Action on a draft letter to the Friends of the JST was deferred after members said they had not had time to review it, with a short separate meeting to be scheduled within days.
