Weston Select Board approves AT&T cell equipment at Love Lane in split vote

WESTON — January 28, 2026 — Weston Select Board approves AT&T small cell installation in two-to-one vote and opens town meeting warrant. At its January 27 meeting, the board voted 2-1 to grant AT&T a location permit to install small cell wireless equipment on an existing utility pole at 121 Love Lane, concluding a public hearing continued from November that included testimony from abutters and AT&T representatives. Town Manager Leon Gaumond also presented a draft operating budget of approximately $107 million — a 5 percent gross increase, or about 2.9 percent growth when all articles and debt are included — with Finance Director Susan Kelly and Assistant Town Manager Lisa Yanukakis credited for the work. The board heard a feasibility report from Tree Advisory Committee Chair Carol Lee on the Town Green Succession Planting Project, described as groundwork for a future Community Preservation Committee funding request, and formally opened the annual town meeting warrant for petitioned articles through February 27, 2026. The meeting closed with Gaumond receiving what he described as "a very positive" annual evaluation from the board.
