Waltham Youth Soccer players got a once-in-a-generation thrill when fifth- and sixth-graders met France's Men's National Team during a community day at Bentley University.

WALTHAM -- Waltham Youth Soccer (WYS) fifth- and sixth-grade players attended a Bentley University Community Day on June 12, where they had the opportunity to meet France's Men's National Team, which has established a base camp in Waltham ahead of the World Cup. According to WYS, "a great afternoon was had by all."

YOUTH LEAGUES

**Soccer:** Waltham Youth Soccer has also announced that Spring 2026 post-season play is underway. The league's Annual General Meeting was held virtually on June 9.

No Waltham High School games were reported for the period of June 15–21. Waltham Youth Hockey and Waltham Girls Youth Basketball had no new activity reported for this period; both organizations are in their off-season.
