Town opens public input on Liberty Ledge future and fall Town Meeting
SUDBURY — Town hall opened two parallel resident-input windows this week, scheduling a June 24 public session on the future of the Liberty Ledge/Sewataro property and asking residents to weigh in by early July on whether to hold a fall Special Town Meeting. The Senior Center separately confirmed it will launch a new lunch program after winning a Cummings Foundation grant.
TOWN HALL
The Liberty Ledge Sewataro Advisory Committee (LLSAC) will host a public input session and community conversation on Wednesday, June 24, seeking resident ideas on the long-term future of the Liberty Ledge property. Details were posted to the town's news flash on June 5.
The Select Board is asking residents to submit input on a potential Fall 2026 Special Town Meeting, with comments due by noon on Monday, July 6. A Housing Roundtable on affordable housing challenges, bringing together town leaders, policymakers and community stakeholders, is set for Tuesday, June 9. And the Select Board's office has scheduled a Landscape Master Plan Workshop on Wednesday, June 11, to help shape a long-term vision for the Fairbank Community Center green spaces and Haskell Field.

Sudbury Public Schools is promoting a Sudbury Fixit Clinic at Goodnow Library on Saturday, June 13, and reminding families that HOPEsudbury's Annual Backpack Drive is taking client registrations through June 26.
The district calendar is winding toward summer: the next School Committee meeting is Monday, June 15; the last day of school for most students is an early-release on Thursday, June 18; schools are closed Friday, June 19, for Juneteenth; Loring School's last day is Monday, June 22; and the district's official last day (day 185) is Tuesday, June 23.

The Sudbury Senior Center confirmed June registration is open, with Sudbury residents able to sign up for non-fitness activities starting June 1 and non-residents starting June 2. Summer I fitness registration opens June 29 for residents and June 30 for non-residents, with classes beginning the week of July 6. The center is operating on summer hours through Sept. 30: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday; 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday; and 9 a.m. to noon Friday.
