Sudbury wins more than $956,000 in MassDOT street and culvert grants

SUDBURY — The Department of Public Works on Friday announced the town has been awarded more than $956,000 through MassDOT's FY26 Complete Streets and Community Culvert programs, the headline item in a day that also brought a new town manager newsletter, a holiday-weekend history program and a fresh affordable-housing forum announcement.

The DPW said the combined MassDOT awards, totaling more than $956,000, come through the FY26 Complete Streets and Community Culvert programs and will support sidewalk, crosswalk and culvert work around town. The grant announcement was posted to the town's news feed Friday afternoon.

Town Manager Andy Sherman's office also published the March edition of The Sudbrief, the manager's roundup of upcoming programs and town information. Separately, the Planning and Community Development office is convening a Housing Roundtable bringing together town leaders, policymakers and community stakeholders to discuss affordable-housing challenges; details and registration are on the PCD page.
