Samborski was elected chair by unanimous voice vote at the May 14 meeting, succeeding Jamie Wallace; Cory Mashburn was elected vice chair. The committee approved Warrant No. 2646 for $371,755.80 and reassigned liaisons and subcommittees, dissolving the redistricting and JLMC subcommittees. Superintendent Kristin DeFrancisco presented four proposed overarching district goals — Teaching and Learning, Culture and Climate, Communication Systems and Structures, and Facilities and Finances — drawn from her entry-plan findings, with a formal vote set for the May 28 virtual meeting. DeFrancisco also reported that the high school principal search has been narrowed to three finalists from an original pool of 16 applicants, with a third site visit scheduled for Monday and a decision expected shortly after.
