Senior Center wins Cummings grant to launch new lunch program

SUDBURY — The Sudbury Senior Center has been chosen as one of 150 nonprofits to receive Cummings Foundation funding that will seed a new lunch program, per Sudbury Patch. Meanwhile, the Select Board is asking residents whether the town should convene a fall Special Town Meeting, and a Fixit Clinic is heading to Goodnow Library next weekend.

SCHOOLS

Sudbury Public Schools is pointing families to a pair of community items: a Fixit Clinic at Goodnow Library on Saturday, June 13, and HOPEsudbury's annual Backpack Drive, with client registration now open through June 26. Both notices were posted to the district news page on June 2.

The district is also flagging an upcoming EV webinar (posted June 1) and a recent Community Conversation featuring Sean Killingsworth. School Committee documents for the June 1 meeting have been posted, with the next School Committee meeting set for Monday, June 15 at 7 p.m.

At Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School, Superintendent/Principal Andrew Stephens published his "LS News & Happenings" message dated June 1, the latest in his recurring family update series.

The Sudbury Fixit Clinic, run in partnership with Goodnow Library, returns Saturday, June 13 — bring small broken household items for volunteer repair coaches.

HOPEsudbury's Annual Backpack Drive client registration is open now through June 26 for Sudbury families who need school supplies for the coming year.
