Select Board Elects New Chair, Vice Chair, and Clerk After Town Election
The Tyngsborough Select Board reorganized at its first post-election meeting, choosing a new chair, vice chair, and clerk, while the Council on Aging launched a public survey Sunday asking residents to weigh in on a possible change to hours at the Center for Active Living.
TOWN HALL
Following the Town Election, the Select Board reorganized, filling its three leadership positions — chair, vice chair, and clerk — at the board's first meeting since voters went to the polls. The town posted the announcement to its News Flash page; agenda and meeting materials are accessible through the Agenda Center at tyngsboroughma.gov.
The Council on Aging and Town Administration are seeking community input on a potential shift in hours at the Center for Active Living. The survey was posted Sunday morning and is open now; residents can find it at tyngsboroughma.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?aid=344. The Council on Aging is also scheduled to meet Tuesday, June 16, which could be an opportunity for residents to engage in person.
Separately, the Dracut Water Supply District has announced a water infrastructure improvement project planned for this summer in the Lakeview Avenue area. Residents in that neighborhood should watch for updates on timing and any service interruptions.
SCHOOLS
Superintendent Dr. Flanagan's FY27 budget presentation is posted on the Tyngsborough Public Schools website at tyngsboroughps.org for families and residents who want to review the proposed district spending plan heading into the next fiscal year.
