North Reading Personal Property Inspections Launch Monday Alongside Four Public Meetings

A quiet Sunday gives way to a consequential Monday: town assessors launch a new round of personal property inspections June 15, the same evening North Reading residents can weigh in at four simultaneous public meetings — including one on next fiscal year's water rates.

TOWN HALL

The town's assessors office announced that personal property inspections will begin Monday, June 15. Residents and business owners can expect contact from inspectors starting that date; the town has not yet published additional scheduling details, but the announcement appeared on the official town homepage ahead of the start date.

Also still in effect: the barrel delivery tied to the town's updated curbside trash and recycling program, which launched June 11. Residents who have not yet received their new barrel should watch for delivery.

COMING UP

Monday, June 15 is a dense night for public meetings. The Select Board holds a hybrid meeting, as does the School Committee. The Parks and Recreation Committee also convenes, and — likely the most consequential item for household budgets — there is a separate hybrid hearing on the Fiscal Year 2027 Water Rate and Capital Plan. All four meetings are hybrid format, meaning residents can attend in person or join remotely. Check the town calendar at northreadingma.gov for room locations and remote-access links.
