Newton Recreation Commission is accepting registrations for its July 24 Pickleball Tournament as a June 26 deadline approaches.

NEWTON -- The Newton Recreation Commission has a registration deadline of Friday, June 26, for its Pickleball Tournament scheduled for Friday, July 24. Teams pay $45 per entry; a minimum of six teams is required for the event to run. The NRC will supply equipment, and cancellation information, standings, and schedules will be posted at newtonrec.org.

TOWN -- The Municipal Pool's Lazy River Workout class, led by instructors Cathy Woodward and Becky Butcher, continues on Tuesdays at 5:15 p.m. and Fridays at 9:15 a.m. Drop-in fee is $4.50; a 10-class card is $35. Additional summer programming — including Toddler Tide sessions on Fridays in July, Fishing Fridays at West Lake (July 17) and Spring Lake (Aug. 7), and Summer Swim Lessons — is open for registration. The Newton Community Camp registration deadline is Monday, July 13.

YOUTH LEAGUES -- Newton Youth Soccer has opened registration for 2026/2027 Travel Soccer and Summer 2026 Clinics. Travel tryout schedules have been posted; details are available at newtonsoccer.org.
