Natick Orders Mandatory Ban on Nonessential Outdoor Water Use
NATICK — Town officials on Tuesday ordered a mandatory ban on all nonessential outdoor water use, the most consequential of several late-May announcements that also include a Saturday deadline for residents interested in volunteering on local boards and a slate of June Pride events.
TOWN HALL
The town has declared a mandatory ban on all nonessential outdoor water uses, effective immediately. Details on what's restricted and any exemptions are posted on the town's water-use restrictions page at natickma.gov/2241/Water-Use-Restrictions. Residents should expect the ban to remain in place until conditions improve.
Natick is also recruiting residents to serve on local boards and committees, with applications due Saturday, May 30. A full list of vacancies and the application portal is available at natickma.gov.
Public Works released the week's roadway improvements schedule for the 2025 contract covering the week of May 25, along with an update on the 2026 contract. The schedule details which streets are in line for paving and related work in the coming days.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
Natick Pride 2026 kicks off a month of community events celebrating "love, community and inclusion," organized by Natick Is United. The full schedule is posted at natickisunited.org/natick-pride-2026, and organizers are urging neighbors to come out, connect and celebrate.
