LS regional agreement subcommittee defers vote, schedules March 10 working session
SUDBURY — March 2, 2026 — LS Regional Agreement Review Subcommittee defers vote, adds March 10 working meeting. Chair Ravi Simon, Vice-Chair Catherine Bitter, member Maura Carty and Lincoln-side participants Kim Bodner and Lisa met March 2 but declined to advance the updated regional agreement after KP Law attorney Lauren Goldberg, town counsel to both Lincoln and Sudbury, submitted extensive election-procedure additions to Section 1 that DESE called "neither necessary nor required." A Monday meeting between Lincoln Town Administrator Tim Higgins, Sudbury Town Manager Andy Sheehan and Goldberg produced a compromise rider committing the towns to address election details later through a memorandum of agreement. Bitter said it was "a little odd" to write a promise of future clarification into the agreement; Lisa called the proposed procedural detail inappropriate and urged the subcommittee not to "hang us up." The body added a 5 p.m. March 10 meeting before the LS School Committee's vote that evening, with the Sudbury Select Board appearance on March 17 and a possible move of Lincoln's discussion to March 23. The subcommittee adjourned unanimously at 5:49 p.m.
