Lincoln-Sudbury subcommittee defers vote on regional agreement rewrite
SUDBURY — February 12, 2026 — Lincoln-Sudbury panel holds back its vote on the first regional agreement rewrite since 1988. The LS Regional Agreement Review Subcommittee on Thursday declined to recommend a draft amendment after member Kim Bodner asked for another read; Chair Ravi Simon agreed to defer. District counsel Mark Terry of Stoneman, Chandler & Miller told the panel the rewrite preserves the existing assessment method, election structure and town rights, calling the volume of red-line edits a response to DESE feedback rather than substantive change. The subcommittee agreed to insert a 10-business-day notice window for amendment proposals, set new members' take-office date as the second Monday in May, and swap "elected and qualified" for "elected and sworn." Approved Feb. 4 minutes 5-0; adjourned at 9:15 p.m. Lincoln Town Meeting takes it up March 28.
