Wayland Select Board votes 4-0 to enter executive personnel session

WAYLAND — February 13, 2026 — Wayland Select Board spends most of brief Friday meeting in executive session on a personnel matter. Chair Carol B. Martin convened the remote-only meeting at 9 a.m. with members Anne Brensley, Thomas J. Fay and William D. Whitney; Vice-Chair Douglas A. Levine was absent. The board voted 4-0 to enter executive session under G.L. c. 30A, §21(a)(1) and (a)(7), inviting Town Manager Michael McCall, Assistant Town Manager Kelsi Power-Spirlet and HR Director Kate Ryan. Returning at 9:28 a.m., Martin announced the proposed Community Pool Mural Project had been withdrawn after organizers concluded grant odds were low and opted for "a fundraising campaign versus the grant." The board approved Jan. 28 and Feb. 2 minutes 4-0 each, with Martin asking the Feb. 2 record reflect that Finance Director Brian Keveny had advised against Article W on pension obligation bonds. Adjourned 9:32 a.m.
