Lincoln Select Board appoints two Housing Commission members and disbands two committees
LINCOLN — April 27, 2026 — Lincoln Select Board appoints two to Housing Commission and clears post-Town Meeting slate. The board on April 27 voted unanimously to seat David Levy and Zalen Stason for three-year Housing Commission terms, appoint Naila Karamally and Cynthia Graham to the IDEA Committee, disband the Town Meeting Study Committee and Lincoln 250 Committee, and submit the Article 36 anticoagulant rodenticide home rule petition. Chair Jim Hutchinson said Library HVAC procurement work — including a signed tax-advisor agreement and a line-by-line scope review by Northeast Engineering against ESG's estimates — is "appropriate in this case given the expense of the project." Town Administrator Tim Higgins reported a Carlisle shared-building-inspector pilot could save up to one-third of the inspector's salary, and a state dispatch regionalization model could save $500,000 to $700,000 annually. A draft civil immigration enforcement resolution, modeled on Lexington's, was held pending input from the School Committee and Library Trustees.
