Lincoln Library Board Seeks Trustee Applicants Amid Construction Access Disruptions

The Lincoln Public Library is actively recruiting a new member for its Board of Trustees while reminding residents that ongoing construction continues to complicate parking and access on Library Lane — the top items on a quiet Flag Day Sunday in town.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

The Lincoln Public Library's Board of Trustees has announced a vacancy and is seeking applicants with a particular interest in serving on the board. Residents interested in the role can find more information on the library's website at lincolnpl.org.

In a separate, practical note for anyone planning a library visit: access to Library Lane and the library parking lot remains affected by ongoing construction in the area. The library is asking patrons to plan for extra travel time. Updates on the construction project are available at lincolnbigdig.com.

The library also recently expanded its collection of lending hotspots, adding four new devices available for checkout with a library card — useful for families heading into summer travel season. Massachusetts State Parks passes are similarly available for checkout; questions can be directed to the Reference Desk at 781-259-8465.

SCHOOLS

Lincoln Public Schools is in the final stretch of the 2025-26 academic year. In his June 5 bi-weekly message — the most recent communication from the district — the superintendent outlined end-of-year topics for families as the district entered its final two weeks of school. The district's annual LPS Family Feedback Survey is currently open, inviting parents and caregivers to share their experiences across Lincoln's schools. Families who have not yet completed the survey are encouraged to do so before the school year closes.

No new announcements were posted by Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School in the coverage window.
