Conservation Commission clears Landon Road renovation, approves Hudson Road landscape additions
SUDBURY — January 12, 2026 — Sudbury Conservation Commission clears Landon Road project and advances Hudson Road landscape changes pending DPW sign-off. The commission unanimously issued a negative determination of applicability for Pedro Lopez's renovation at 260 Landon Road, allowing septic decommissioning, tree and fence removal and a rebuilt addition within the 100-foot buffer zone of Landon Brook, subject to a pre-construction site visit, native plantings, no irrigation and photo documentation. On 331 Hudson Road, Fred Anderson of Anderson Landscape Construction won approval for a permeable bluestone walkway and cobblestone aprons, with a stone replacement of a failed timber retaining wall in the Sanger Street right-of-way held contingent on Department of Public Works approval. Chair David Henkels said he did "not have an issue with them continuing with their work contingent upon hearing back from DPW without an amendment." Three continued notices of intent and an enforcement order at 73 Wayside Inn Road were carried to Jan. 26.
