Concord Planning Board endorses two land splits, prepares for MCI Concord master planning
CONCORD — May 5, 2026 — Concord Planning Board unanimously endorsed two Approval Not Required land divisions and braced for a year dominated by MCI Concord master planning. Town Planner Jennifer Gullickson told the newly reorganized board — which elected Almeida as chair, Pat Nelson as vice chair, and Sue Felschian as clerk — that six zoning bylaw amendments passed at the 2026 Annual Town Meeting are headed to the Massachusetts Attorney General for review, a process expected to take up to 90 days with a potential 60-day extension, and that the one failed amendment was a wireless telecommunications overlay measure. Gullickson recommended against any major new zoning initiatives for 2027 town meeting given the demands of the MCI Concord redevelopment timeline, with a community engagement charette scheduled for June 8 through 11 and the consultant team, led by DKIM, having held just two town meetings as of May 5. The board endorsed lot divisions at 100 Domino Drive for Batstone LLC and at 110 Spencer Brook Road for 8245 Medina LLC — the latter conditioned on the surveyor adding a maximum setback line for the new rear lot — and heard that both the Noble and Row comprehensive permit projects are expected to receive building permits in June with site work beginning in August.
