The five-member board voted unanimously to accept the DESE FC 424 Grant supporting the state-mandated MyCAP — My Career and Academic Plan — initiative, which Assistant Superintendent Dr. Lisa Chen described as funding for policy updates, staff training outside contractual hours, and scope-and-sequence work at the middle and high school levels. The committee also voted 5-0 to approve Burlington Educators Association Unit A stipends for category placement under Schedule E, covering a middle school drama club at $4,743, a high school string orchestra director at $3,891, and a Francis Wyman used bookstore advisor at $1,334. A post-test survey for Wayfinder, the district's social-emotional learning program, passed 4-0 with member Jeremy Brooks abstaining because specific survey questions were not available at the time of the vote.
