Backstop repairs near completion; tennis court gift account receives $1,350 donation.

WINCHESTER -- The town's baseball and softball facility upgrade project is nearing the finish line, with the first phase of new backstops and fencing installed at fields around Winchester. The final installation is expected this week at McDonald Field, according to Town Manager Chris Senior's report to the Select Board on June 15.

TOWN -- At the same meeting, the Select Board accepted a combined $1,350 donation from Julie Hammond of Winchester Cooperative Bank and Diane Elio Polos of Winchester Savings Bank to the Recreation Department's Packer Field tennis courts gift account. The board also accepted a $13,720 EEC Stabilization Grant to support the Recreation Department's Kid Connection/RAP child care licensing program for June 2026.
