Ayer Library Sets Summer Kickoff Carnival for June 20

The Ayer Public Library kicks off summer with a carnival on June 20, and the town reminds property owners that a tax-taking is set for June 30 at noon.

TOWN HALL

The Office of the Collector of Taxes has posted notice of a tax taking scheduled for June 30, 2026 at noon at Town Hall. Property owners with unpaid tax balances should contact the Collector's office before that date to avoid having their property taken for nonpayment. Mandatory water restrictions, in effect since May 1, remain in place; residents are reminded to follow current usage limits.

The free event will feature Ed the Wizard, a bounce house, assorted activities, and a plant and seed swap. The carnival marks the informal start of the library's summer season.
