Ashland Library Stacks Tuesday With Author Talk, Music Lecture, and Kids Programs

Town Hall issued no announcements Monday, leaving the day's news dominated by what's coming: a Mindess School Building Committee session, a Board of Health meeting, and a loaded library calendar all land Tuesday, with the Select Board and a school family event to follow Wednesday.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

The Ashland Public Library packs Tuesday, June 16, with programming for nearly every age. Families with children two through five can bring them to Clocktown Rockers, the library's music-and-movement drop-in. Kids in grades two through six have Pokémon Club. Adults get two virtual lectures: author John Wang discusses his book "Big Asian Energy," and lecturer Clint Edwards presents "250 Years of Classical Music in America" — a timely subject in the nation's 250th anniversary year. In person, the Cook Book Club gathers around "Turnip Greens and Tortillas" by Eddie Hernandez, and a Gentle Yoga session rounds out the afternoon.
