Arlington Adopts Comprehensive Plan to Guide Town Growth Through 2036
ARLINGTON — Arlington formally adopted a new comprehensive plan this week to guide the town's growth and development over the next decade, even as the public-school calendar counts down its final days before summer.
SCHOOLS
The school year is nearly done. The Arlington Public Schools calendar lists June 18 as the last day for kindergartners (using the snow-day schedule) and the last day for Pre-K students, who will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m. that day. June 19 is a no-school day in observance of Juneteenth. The district has also flagged a recent initiative rolling out reusable containers at APS school cafeterias, and Superintendent's updates this spring have highlighted the ongoing celebration of the new Arlington High School building. Kindergarten screenings for incoming students are on the books for June 22.
