Weston Select Board defers Concord Road project, refers assisted-living proposal to planners

WESTON — February 11, 2026 — Weston Select Board appoints three committee members and defers Concord Road reconstruction to a future town meeting. At the February 10 meeting, summarized by Town Manager Leon Gaumond in his Select Board Rewind video, the board appointed Diana Chaplin and Sisi Adu-Gwafami to the Housing Production Plan Steering Committee and Rose Lee to the Sustainability Committee. The board referred the Wellesley Street assisted-living development on the Regis property to the Planning Board for a hearing and declined to place the Concord Road Reconstruction Project — which would have included possible water-line extension to unserved areas — on the May annual town meeting warrant. The board also expressed interest in a traffic-monitoring pilot called the Crossroads Program but asked Gaumond to consult town counsel on liability questions first, and began coordinating with fire station consultant Jim Palando and the fire chief on a design-funds request for the May warrant.
