Weston Select Board Approves Tax Deferral Plan for May Town Meeting Warrant

WESTON — March 11, 2026 — Weston Select Board authorizes property tax deferral plan update ahead of May Town Meeting. Town Manager Leon Gaumond, summarizing the March 10 meeting in a Select Board Rewind episode, said members voted to continue the town's property tax deferral program with new figures for fiscal year 2027, sending the measure to the May Town Meeting warrant. The board also agreed to send a letter of support for the Open Space and Recreation Plan, which had been presented at the previous meeting, with Gaumond noting members "were pleased with the update." The session opened with resident comments on the Indian Hill parking area, which Gaumond said will be taken up in future meetings, and included a ceremonial presentation by Weston Historical Society head Pam Fox, who brought back a governor's certificate and a Commonwealth plaque honoring Weston's Revolutionary War role from the Knox Trail 250 celebration in Cambridge.
