Weston Historical Commission Advances Glen Road Case, Backs $300,000 Town Green Tree Plan
WESTON — March 10, 2026 — Weston Historical Commission clears Glen Road addition, advances 1891 demolition case to April hearing. The commission voted unanimously at its March 10 online meeting to approve a home addition at 265 Glen Road in the Glen Road Historic District, accepting revised drawings from architect Robert Phelan on behalf of owners Allison Marie Mooradian and Simon Christopher Whitelaw. For 669 Boston Post Road — an 1891 Queen Anne property in the Boston Post Road National Register Historic District — the commission unanimously found both the house and its barn significant and voted to advance the demolition application to a public hearing on April 7; Co-Chair Phyllis Halpern urged the owner to list the property before proceeding, noting the town has $300,000 previously earmarked for a preservation restriction that "is still on the table." The commission also cleared a window-replacement application at 26 Love Lane and unanimously endorsed a Tree Advisory Group request for $300,000 in Community Preservation Committee funding to plant 53 trees on the town green, the first implementation phase of a succession planting plan completed in November 2025.
