Wayland voters clear 41 Town Meeting articles as week's news cycle settles
WAYLAND — With Town Hall's news feed silent on Sunday and the schools on weekend pause, the day's local news cycle was carried by Wayland Patch's recap of the just-finished 2026 Annual Town Meeting and a fresh police advisory about a black bear roaming a town neighborhood.

The Council on Aging has posted its May 2026 newsletter and reminded residents that the Community Center at 8 Andrew Ave. will be closed on Monday, May 19, and again on Monday, May 25, for Memorial Day. At Beatrice Herford's Vokes Theatre on Boston Post Road, the Vokes Players' production of "Jesus Christ Superstar," directed by Jennifer Gasser with music director Shane Stecher, continues its sold-out run through Saturday, May 16. The company has also announced a concert version of "1776" tied to Wayland's semiquincentennial celebration, to be staged with the Wayland 250 Committee and the Wayland High School theater department on June 12 and 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the high school.
