Sudbury convenes housing roundtable as School Committee sets June 1 agenda
SUDBURY — Town leaders are convening a Housing Roundtable to tackle Sudbury's affordable housing squeeze, while the School Committee posted a June 1 meeting agenda and Sudbury Police signaled stepped-up rail trail enforcement amid e-bike safety concerns.

The Planning and Community Development office announced a Housing Roundtable inviting residents into what the town describes as an engaging discussion on affordable housing challenges. The forum is designed to gather town leaders, policymakers and community stakeholders to weigh options for expanding access. Details and registration are posted on the town site at sudbury.ma.us/pcd.
SCHOOLS
Sudbury Public Schools posted notice and an agenda for the next School Committee meeting, scheduled for Monday, June 1, at 7 p.m. The district also published notice of an Anti-Hate Anti-Bias Taskforce meeting set for May 28.
Families with rising kindergartners should note that Kindergarten Orientation and an Early Release day are both set for Wednesday, June 3, with the K troops at Haynes, Loring, Nixon and Noyes already forming for Fall 2026. The last day of school is Thursday, June 18 (early release), with Juneteenth observed Friday, June 19. Loring's last day falls Monday, June 22, and the districtwide 185th day lands Tuesday, June 23.
The district is also reminding families that the Summer Program SMILE and EXPLORE student information form is due May 29.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
The Senior Center is operating on its new May 1–Sept. 30 summer hours: 9 a.m.–4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday; 9 a.m.–7 p.m. Tuesday; and 9 a.m.–noon Friday. Registration for programs runs through (978) 443-3055.
Community partners are also promoting HOPEsudbury's Fishing Derby and Fun Day and an Adaptive Rail Trail Ride scheduled for Saturday, June 6, both posted to the school district's community notices.
