Subcommittee unanimously recommends Lincoln-Sudbury regional agreement amendment to select boards
SUDBURY — March 17, 2026 — Lincoln-Sudbury subcommittee unanimously recommends amended regional agreement to both select boards. The LS Regional Agreement Review Subcommittee voted 5-0 Tuesday to recommend the amended agreement to the Sudbury Select Board, the Lincoln Select Board and the Lincoln-Sudbury Regional School Committee, "subject to changes by DESE counsel." Chair Ravi Simon said the state Department of Elementary and Secondary Education returned only minor comments: KP Law's new memorandum-of-agreement paragraph was relocated to Section 1, Paragraph D to avoid implying it covered school committee elections, and redundant budget language in Section 10 was deleted. DESE accepted the withdrawal and separation provisions as drafted. Member Maura Carty called it the "best possible outcome." Simon will present at town meeting; the Lincoln Select Board takes up the agreement March 23.
