Planning Board extends Widow Rights Lane stormwater permit to October 2027

SUDBURY — March 11, 2026 — Sudbury Planning Board grants 18-month stormwater extension and reshapes sidewalk petition rules. The board voted Wednesday to extend Stormwater Management Permit No. 2104 for three homes at 25, 35 and 45 Widow Rights Lane through Oct. 31, 2027, after owner-builder Rob Salaberti told members he acquired three of four lots from James Brawley in May 2025 and lost ground to "by far the worst" winter in 15 years. Chair Stephen Garvin moved the extension; Vice-Chair John Sugrue seconded. Members then spent the bulk of the meeting reviewing a draft DPW Sidewalk Request Policy that would require 75 percent of property owners along a route to petition for new sidewalks, with planning staff routing viable requests to DPW Director Tina Rivard for cost review. Adam, the planning office staffer presenting, said one recent DPW estimate put roughly 700 feet of sidewalk above $1 million.
