Planning Board caps Church Street dog kennel at eight dogs in 4-0 vote

NATICK — January 28, 2026 — Natick Planning Board approves Church Street dog kennel with eight-dog cap. The board voted 4-0 Wednesday to grant Allison Breziner a special permit for a home-occupation kennel at 17 Church Street, lowering her requested limit from 12 dogs to eight at any one time and codifying 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekday hours. Vice Chair Doug Landry said the kennel regulations "appeared arbitrary and lacked clear standards" but voted yes, citing neighbor support. The board also voted 4-0 to endorse an Approval Not Required plan dividing 27 Forest Avenue, owned by the N & C Christie LLC estate, into two lots under MGL Chapter 41 §81L. A National Development assisted living hearing covering 5 Lakeshore Road and 208–220 North Main Street was continued 4-0 to Feb. 11 after debate over rooftop equipment screening within 250 feet and trash operations.
