Lincoln Library Board Seeks Applicants to Fill Trustee Vacancy

The Lincoln Public Library is searching for a new board member after longtime trustee Peter Sugar stepped down, leaving a vacancy the board hopes to fill with a candidate who has a particular interest in library service.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

The Board of Trustees of the Lincoln Public Library has announced an opening and is actively seeking applicants. The departure of Peter Sugar, whom the library is honoring for his service, created the vacancy. Residents interested in shaping library policy and programming are encouraged to apply through the library's website at lincolnpl.org.

Meanwhile, the library has expanded its Library of Things collection by adding four new hotspots available for checkout with a library card — useful for families heading into summer travel season. Patrons are also reminded that ongoing construction continues to affect access to Library Lane and parking near the building; the library asks visitors to allow extra travel time. More information on the construction project is available at lincolnbigdig.com.

The library also has Virginia Rundell Award submissions open and its second annual Seed Library running for the season.
