L-S committee unanimously approves Stevens evaluation, rates superintendent proficient

SUDBURY — April 28, 2026 — Lincoln-Sudbury committee rates Superintendent Andrew Stevens proficient in unanimous evaluation. The 6-0 vote on Stevens's third annual review came at his strongest evaluation to date, Chair Ravi Simon said, calling members "really impressed" with the year's work. Wellness teacher Sarah Greeley reported 29 trained facilitators and just over 30 students have moved through I Decide, the tier-two substance-use diversion program funded by a 0.25 FTE position created in fiscal 2025; she called the one-on-one model "the most magic" of the Mass General curriculum. Business Administrator Susan Shields said fiscal 2026 will finish near break-even after she recovered MIAA insurance credits dating to 2022, lifting Q3 revenue projections by roughly $52,000. The district also received a $21,000 METCO Inc. grant. Stevens flagged pending state bell-to-bell cell-phone legislation, asking "Is there any money that's connected to this, or is it an unfunded mandate?" The meeting was the last for departing Lincoln member Lucy Maltsby.
