WAYLAND — June 3, 2026 — Wayland Historical Commission names R. Richard Conard interim chair and sets June 10 Dudley Woods site visit. Chair Bradford Carver announced Conard had agreed to a three-month interim term beginning after the summer. Members will meet at Town Building at 11 a.m. June 10 to recommend placements for three interpretive signs — one at Castle Gate, two at Dudley Woods — being fabricated by iZone of Texas after an April 10 design upload. Tonya Largy reported the History at Play production of "Rachel Revere" is set for Aug. 30 at the Vokes Theatre, free with donations supporting a Cochituate Ball Field historical sign. The commission's annual budget was cut from $1,000 to $250. Members voted to skip the July 1 meeting and reconvene Aug. 5, and marked Ann Gordon's final meeting after eight years. "It's been a real pleasure," Gordon said.
