Historic Districts Commission continues three cases, approves Peakham Road fence
SUDBURY — February 5, 2026 — Sudbury Historic Districts Commission continues three applications, clears Peakham Road fence and cemetery sign. Vice Chair Taryn Trexler led the Feb. 5 meeting with Chair Anuraj Shah absent, continuing dormer plans at 84 French Road after members Christopher Hagger, John "Griff" Noble and Peter Iovanella said four mismatched dormer styles plus a portico did not cohere; Iovanella said the dormers "clash, like really significantly." The commission also continued unpermitted door replacements at 230 Old Sudbury Road, with owners Jim and Javon Francis and Window Nation's Caio Torres directed to submit specifications for two raised-panel fiberglass styles, and continued a window-replacement request at 52 Concord Road brought by Adelma Gillespie and her son Trip Lilliston, who cited restoration quotes of $3,000 to $5,000 per window. Members voted 4-0 to approve a 42-inch cedar post-and-rail fence at the Thakkar residence at 95 Peakham Road, and 4-0 to approve a $348 laminate entrance sign for the Revolutionary War Cemetery ahead of the town's May 16 250th anniversary date.
