Groton Select Board reorganizes, Cunningham named chair in unanimous vote
GROTON — June 1, 2026 — Groton Select Board unanimously reorganizes, naming Peter Cunningham as chair for the coming year. The board met in regular session June 1, electing Cunningham chair, Becky Pine vice chair, and Nick DeGuytas clerk in its annual reorganization, all by unanimous vote. Members also unanimously appointed Elizabeth Tannenbring to the Commission on Accessibility and approved a charter amendment striking the word "assistant" from paragraph 5.3.7 of section 5.3 of the Groton Charter. The board voted unanimously to back the Dunstable Select Board's request for state action extending school committee member Lacey McCabe's term to a full three years. Two one-day wine and malt beverage licenses were granted — one for the Friends of Prescott's Appreciation Party on June 19 and one for First Parish Church's Coffee House on June 13 — both unanimous.
