Council on Aging approves 2025 annual report, plans June strategic retreat

SUDBURY — March 9, 2026 — Sudbury Council on Aging approves 2025 annual report and sets June strategic planning retreat. Chair Paul Marotta seated new members Louis Petrovic and Jonathan Harding at their first meeting, restoring the nine-seat board to full strength. The board approved the Sudbury Senior Center's 2025 annual report unanimously and authorized Vice-Chair Patricia Tabloski to convene a facilitated planning retreat in early June, adding member Joel Bauman to the planning subcommittee. Bauman obtained a 2022 Sudbury demographic dataset from the MetroWest Health Foundation and separately reported 178 falls with transport handled by Sudbury Fire in 2024, averaging "one and a half calls per day." Select Board Liaison Lisa Kouchakdjian said the council's Article 21 bylaw amendment will likely land on the Town Meeting consent calendar — "I don't think there's much controversy around that." Friends of Sudbury Senior Center collected roughly $28,000 across the annual appeal.
