Billerica Library Hosts Sheriff's Scam Prevention Talk June 16
BILLERICA — The Billerica Public Library is the only source with fresh content this cycle, reminding residents of a Juneteenth closure next week and a pair of evening programs on the horizon, as an otherwise quiet Thursday produces no new announcements from Town Hall or the school district.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
The library at 15 Concord Road will be closed Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth Independence Day and will reopen Monday, June 22, during regular hours.
Looking ahead, the Middlesex Sheriff's Office will visit the library Tuesday, June 16, at 7 p.m. for a Scam Awareness and Prevention presentation. Registration is open on the library's website. The program is a free community offering and comes as phone and online scams continue to target residents across Middlesex County.
Later in the month, the library hosts "Best Small Museums in Massachusetts" on Thursday, June 26, at 7 p.m. — a program that doubles as a summer outing planner for families. Registration is also available online.
Through the end of June, the Family Friends of the Billerica Public Library is running a Paperback Beach Pick BOGO sale — buy one, get one — as well as selling reusable tote bags for $10 each at the Circulation Desk while supplies last.
