With just two days left in the academic calendar, Arlington Public Schools heads into its final stretch this week, while a pair of community stories — a Pride recognition and a concerning incident near the high school — kept the town's attention over the past 24 hours.

The Arlington Public Schools district calendar shows Thursday, June 25, as the last day for grades 1 through 12, with an early release at 11:30 a.m. That date reflects the 185th school day, accounting for a snow day makeup. Teachers' first day back in the fall is set for Aug. 31, with the first day of kindergarten (for half of students) on Sept. 2.
